The Oral B 7400 - 40,000 Pulsations Per Minute!
By Erik Ortega
For those interested in a basic, yet highly effective electric toothbrush, look no further than the Oral B 7400. It isn't the Oral B Triumph 9900 toothbrush with smart guide, but for the price, I feel it is extremely effective. The Oral B 7400 is an inexpensive, but extremely effective method for maintaining a healthy dental record.
The Oral B electric toothbrush company has continued their trend of replicating dentist quality brushes. The Oral B 7400 uses its dentist inspired rounded brush head that encompasses each tooth to deliver 40,000 pulsations per minute and 8,000 oscillations per minute. Combined, they effectively loosen plaque and sweep it away effortlessly.
My Personal Experience with the Oral B 7400
The Oral B 7400 felt surprisingly close to the Oral B 8850 in terms of how clean my teeth felt after use. I was surprised because in the past, if I would have spent the same price on any other electric toothbrush, I would be highly disappointed. This toothbrush really cleans well and encourages proper brush habits. It does that by incorporating the ever popular toothbrush timer and pressure sensor.
If you have a family, personally, I feel this toothbrush can be used for all ages, just make sure you purchase color coordinated Oral-B FlossAction replacement heads so each of your family can have their own brush. So if you haven't figured it out yet, yes this toothbrush is tough competition for the Philips Sonicare Xtreme e3000 power toothbrush.
Oral B 7400 Features:
- Oral B 3D Cleaning Action
- Comes with Precision Clean Brush Head and a Dual Clean Brush Head
- Pressure Sensor shuts off when too much pressure is applied to the brush
- 2 minute timer with 30-second signal (alerts user every 30 seconds to change quadrant)
My grade for this toothbrush: 7 out of 10
The Oral B 7400 is a very basic, but highly efficient toothbrush. It lacks the wow factor to make it a stand out and compete with the likes of the Oral B Triumph 9900 toothbrush with smart guide but is still a very effective and reliable toothbrush.
